I'm a firm believer that every person walking this earth has a story to tell, and that someone somewhere can relate to our stories. There are many people, men and women alike, who can relate to the topic of my next Friday Feature Author: Ms. Patricia Gandy.
In her debut book, IMPACT OF THE UNKNOWN PRESENCE, Patricia boldly tells her story about what it was like growing up without a father, and how it impacted the choices and decisions she's made on her journey. She shares the roller coaster of emotions that she experiences not having a relationship with her father.
On her journey to seeking a relationship with her biological father, she realizes her spiritual father was what she was missing. The author also makes awareness of not continuing the cycle of being an absentee parent. As a parent, you are responsible for rearing your child in the best way possible.
I can certainly relate to some of the things Patricia wrote about in her book, as I'm a single mom myself. I love when authors are transparent and share their journeys. It helps those who feel alone know that there is a better way. My favorite part about her story is that she encourages her readers to seek and nurture a relationship with God, in spite of not knowing who their biological father is.
